How to get there

How to get there by air

You must travel to Chacalluta International Airport (ARI), which receives direct flights from Santiago (2 hours 15 minutes). From the air terminal, located 18 km away, take a taxi or a private transportation service (transfer) to get directly to your accommodation in 20 minutes.

How to get there by land

From Santiago, you must drive along Route 5 North, a long journey of 2,050 km (28 hours to 30 hours) that you can do by bus or in your vehicle. If you drive, plan stops and refuel. You can also access by vehicle from Peru and Bolivia through the authorized border crossings.

Don’t forget that temperatures tend to be mild throughout the year, so during the day you should protect yourself from the sun with sunglasses, sunscreen, and a hat. If you visit nature reserves and beaches, try not to carry out activities that could pollute or damage the ecosystem and the unique biodiversity of the area.
