A paradise of endemic nature

Part of the Juan Fernández Archipelago, Robinson Crusoe Island is a unique natural destination, home to an impressive number of endemic species. Here you can explore beautiful trails or dive to observe its stunning marine fauna. Its main town is San Juan Bautista, which has various services and whose lobster, a local delicacy, has a unique flavor.

Why its name? This is where the Scottish sailor Alexander Selkirk was shipwrecked in 1704, whose incredible story inspired Daniel Defoe’s famous novel. The island is, without a doubt, one of Chile’s treasures, and a visit offers an unforgettable experience in the Pacific.
