The ultimate route through Patagonia

Travel 2,800 kilometers of stunning landscapes on the Route of Parks of Patagonia. This journey is a dream for adventure lovers, connecting 17 National Parks of Chilean Patagonia. This vast territory is home to more than 60 communities, 150 species of birds, and 46 species of mammals.

With 11.5 million hectares protected between Puerto Montt and Cape Horn, the parks that make up this route are: Pumalín Douglas Tompkins, Alerce Andino, Hornopirén, Corcovado, Queulat, Melimoyu, Isla Magdalena, Cerro Castillo, Patagonia, San Rafael, Bernardo O’Higgins, Pali Aike, Kawésqar, Alberto de Agostini, Torres del Paine, Yendegaia, and Cabo de Hornos.

How to get there

How to get there by air

You must travel to Puerto Montt (PMC), Balmaceda (BBA), or Punta Arenas (PUQ), depending on your chosen destination. All have direct flights from Santiago.

How to get there by land

Evaluate the complexity of your trip. For self-sufficiency, rent a 4×4 vehicle, which will allow you to access most of the remote areas. For a simpler experience, opt for guided tours or buses with scheduled routes. Remember that public transportation has limited coverage in the most isolated national parks.

Must-Know Tips

It is essential to have a minimum of physical preparation, as the sections of some parks require good condition, especially on hikes that are long and demanding. Bring clothing and equipment suitable for all types of climates, especially for rain and snow.
