How to get there

How to get there by air

You must travel to El Tepual International Airport in Puerto Montt (PMC), with direct flights from Santiago (1 hour 45 minutes). From the air terminal, you must take a bus or vehicle to get to Puerto Varas (22 km, 30 minutes) or Frutillar (40 km, 50 minutes). The airport has seasonal international connections.

How to get there by land

From Santiago, you must travel more than 1,000 km along Route 5 South, a 14-hour journey in which you must plan stops. From Santiago, intercity buses leave for Frutillar and Puerto Varas. If you start in Puerto Montt, the trip to Puerto Varas is about 22 km.
