How to get there
How to get there by air
Land at Diego Aracena International Airport (IIQ), which receives direct flights from Santiago. Cerro Dragón is 40 km (35 minutes) north of the airport, marking the southern entrance to Iquique via Route 1.
How to get there by land
Take a taxi, bus, or drive 4 km from the center of Iquique along Av. Arturo Prat to the south. Continue along Av. La Tirana to the signposted entrances to the base of the Cerro Dragón dune. It is a very short trip, as the attraction is integrated into the city.

Iquique’s desert climate has high temperatures and strong solar radiation, so it is essential to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, and sunglasses.
