Caleta Tumbes and Chome
Marine flavors and coastal tradition of Biobío
The coves of Tumbes and Chome protect the seafaring identity of the Hualpén Peninsula. Tumbes stands out for its active port life and a gastronomic offer of freshly extracted products, with waters that facilitate navigation and the observation of coastal birds in the surroundings.
Meanwhile, Chome exhibits a unique industrial past among the vestiges of the former Ballenera Trinidad, attracting hikers who travel the surrounding hills in search of panoramic views of the ocean. It is also a strategic point for spotting the passage of large whales during the migration season.
