Town of San Juan Bautista
Diving, trekking, and gastronomy
San Juan Bautista concentrates the island life in the Juan Fernández Archipelago. Located on Robinson Crusoe Island, this town offers privileged conditions for diving and snorkeling thanks to the exceptional underwater visibility. Its gastronomy is a fundamental pillar, featuring the endemic lobster, the golden crab, and the catch of the day.
Its surroundings offer challenging hiking trails towards the foothills of Cerro El Yunque. These walks allow you to reach viewpoints with complete views of the bay and enter forests of unique vegetation, which has one of the highest rates of endemism in the world.
