Like you're on Mars

Known as Piedras Rojas, the Salar de Talar is one of the most breathtaking landscapes of San Pedro de Atacama. Its uniqueness lies in the rock formations of intense reddish hue, derived from the oxidation of iron, which create a dramatic contrast with the white of the salt flat and the deep blue of the highland lagoons.

In addition, this territory preserves the memory of pre-Columbian peoples. The presence of ancient caravan routes and vestiges of temporary camps demonstrates the admirable capacity of the Andean cultures to travel and inhabit this environment.
