Land at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL), the gateway to the Metropolitan Region. From there, it is about 50 km along Route G-25 (Camino al Volcán) to the Cajón del Maipo. The journey takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes.

How to get there by land

From Santiago, the main access is Route G-25 (Camino al Volcán), which begins at the end of Avenida La Florida. Drive 50 km, a 1 hour and 30 minute trip that can be extended with high seasonal traffic. There are bus and shared taxi services that connect the capital with the Cajón del Maipo.

The mountain climate is variable, with a large temperature range between day and night. It is essential to wear layered clothing, including warm clothes, and use sun protection.
