How to get there by air
Land at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL). From Santiago, the trip by private vehicle is 160 km, taking about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Use Route 78 and then the coastal roads. If you travel by bus, you must get to Navidad and then take a taxi or local bus to Matanzas.
How to get there by land
The windsurfing schools are concentrated on the most popular beaches of Matanzas. The main learning areas are Playa El Bajo (heart of the resort) and Playa La Boca (Rapel River estuary). You can access them by private vehicle or by using the local buses that connect Matanzas with the town of Navidad.
Must-Know Tips
In summer, it is essential to book classes and equipment in advance. Although the schools provide the equipment, we recommend having your own. The coastal climate is variable; bring warm clothes for cool afternoons and always wear sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
