How to get there by air
Fly directly to Carriel Sur Airport (CCP), located between Concepción and Talcahuano. From there, travel 110 km to the city of Chillán. Once in Chillán, travel an additional 80 km along Route N-55 to the base of Nevados. You can use a bus, train, or rental car for this journey.
How to get there by land
From Concepción, drive 110 km along Route 5 South to Chillán. From there, take Route N-55, traveling an additional 80 km to Nevados de Chillán. The total trip lasts about four hours. You can travel by bus or train to Chillán, and then board the daily buses that go up to the mountain.

It is essential to make reservations in advance, both for accommodations and outdoor activities. Clothing should be suitable for high mountains and snow, so it should be thermal and waterproof, without forgetting accessories such as a hat for the cold, gloves, and sunscreen.
