A spectacle of nature

General Carrera Lake is one of the main landmarks of the Carretera Austral. Its 1,850 km² make it the largest lake in Chile, harboring in its glacial and turquoise waters the impressive Marble Caves.

These marble caves were sculpted by water erosion over millennia. The visit, which starts from Puerto Río Tranquilo, allows you to navigate by kayak or boat through its arches and caverns, offering a spectacle of reflections and unique blue tones on the continent that contrasts with the mountains of Patagonia.
