A lunar landscape in Patagonia

Pali Aike National Park will transport you to a lunar landscape with its unique geography of craters, volcanic cones, and basaltic lava fields. Its name, which in the Aónikenk language means "desolate place", honors this steppe landscape that protects vestiges of more than 11,000 years old.

As you walk the trails towards the Escorial del Diablo, you will walk on ancient solidified lava flows. The circuit will then take you to the shore of Laguna Ana, an oasis of life where you can photograph Chilean flamingos, herds of guanacos, and gray foxes that freely roam this Patagonian territory.
