The Los Pingüinos Natural Monument protects an island ecosystem accessible only by sea. Upon disembarking on Isla Magdalena, you will travel along a path surrounded by thousands of Magellanic penguins and their young, who share the landscape with imperial cormorants, skuas and other seabirds.
The navigation continues towards Isla Marta, where you can see a large community of sea lions from the deck. In addition, during the trip you will see dolphins jumping next to the boat, giving you a magical postcard of Patagonian fauna.

How to get there
How to get there by air
Land at Presidente Carlos Ibáñez del Campo Airport (PUQ) in Punta Arenas. From the air terminal, head towards the city center to access the port. The adventure continues by taking an authorized boat that sets sail for the Natural Monument, located on Isla Magdalena.
How to get there by land
Travel to the Arturo Prat Pier or Tres Puentes Pier in Punta Arenas. Ferry services or speedboats depart from these points to the Natural Monument. The one-way voyage lasts approximately 2 hours. The total excursion takes 4 to 6 hours and must be booked in advance, as it is the only way to disembark and visit the colony.

The climate in the Strait of Magellan is unpredictable and cold, so it is vital to wear very warm and wind-resistant clothing. To walk safely along the trails, appropriate footwear is required to avoid falls along the way. Follow the instructions of your boat during your trip.
