Francisco Coloane Marine Park
Whale Sanctuary in Patagonia
The Francisco Coloane Marine Park is Chile's first marine reserve and a vital feeding area for humpback whales. On this southern expedition, you will sail to the Isla Carlos III sector to observe the blows and fins of these cetaceans, in an environment surrounded by southern dolphins and sea lions that patrol the fjords.
The journey reveals a landscape of strong contrasts, where the dense Magellanic rainforest touches the ancient ice of the Santa Inés Glacier. As you travel along the Jerónimo Channel, you will enjoy a pristine and silent environment, ideal for photographing the wild nature of the Strait of Magellan.
