Volcanoes, lakes, and araucaria trees in the Andes

The Araucanía Andina encompasses the mountain territory of the region, dominated by active volcanoes and ancient araucaria forests. This ancestral landscape safeguards the identity of the Mapuche-Pehuenche people, whose culture remains linked to the cycles of the mountain and the harvesting of pine nuts.

The circuit integrates geographical icons such as Conguillío National Park and the activity of the Llaima Volcano. To the north, the Malalcahuello National Reserve and the Lonquimay Volcano add trekking routes and mountain centers, consolidating an adventure destination available during all four seasons.
