The most popular trail in Torres del Paine

Base Torres is the most emblematic trek in Torres del Paine National Park. This highly demanding route goes up the Ascencio Valley and crosses ancient Lenga forests, before facing the final ascent up an abrupt rocky slope until reaching the turquoise lagoon at the foot of the massif.

The trail offers constant views of Mount Almirante Nieto and the flight of condors. However, the peak moment for many visitors occurs at dawn, when the first rays of sun dye the three granite needles with an intense reddish hue, revealing the most iconic and breathtaking image of Chilean Patagonia.
