How to get there by air

Land at Carriel Sur Airport (CCP) in Talcahuano, the closest air terminal to the area. From there, the journey continues by road: it is 110 km to Chillán, the regional capital. From Chillán, you must take Route N-55 and travel 80 km more to reach the Nevados de Chillán complex. It is recommended to coordinate a direct transfer service from the airport or the city.

How to get there by land

From Concepción, you must travel 110 km along Routes 152 and 5 South to Chillán. Once in Chillán, take the scenic Route N-55 and travel 80 km to the mountain. The total trip takes between 3 and 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take the train or bus to Chillán and then board the regular bus services that go up to Nevados de Chillán daily.

Plan your trip with time, booking accommodation and activities in advance. For the high mountains, always equip yourself with thermal and waterproof clothing, as well as accessories such as gloves, hat and sunscreen.
