How to get there by air
You must land at Comodoro Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport (SCL). Once in the capital, rent a vehicle (ideally 4×4), hire a tour, or take a tour to get to El Morado, on a trip of about 130 km that lasts about 3 hours.
How to get there by land
From Santiago, take Route G-25 (Camino al Volcán) and drive 93 km (about 2 hours) to the park. You can arrive in a private vehicle or on a tour. Remember that outside the summer season, a 4×4 is highly recommended due to the conditions of the mountain road, and the place may even be closed.

It is essential that you acclimatize properly to avoid altitude sickness. The climate is unpredictable, with abrupt changes in temperature, so layered clothing is required, including thermal and waterproof garments. Always wear trekking shoes and check the forecast before going.
