Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve
A sanctuary in the Valdivian rainforest
The Huilo Huilo Biological Reserve preserves 100,000 hectares of Valdivian forest in the Andes of Panguipulli. Its interpretive trails delve into the humid forest towards the Huilo Huilo and El Puma waterfalls, powerful waterfalls that flow through ancient channels of volcanic rock.
This destination is world-renowned for its surrealist architecture, with hotels such as Montaña Mágica and Nothofagus that mimic the shapes of the forest. The offer includes hot springs, gastronomy and nature expeditions, focused on environmental education and the protection of native species such as the huemul.
