How to get there
How to get there by air
Fly to Desierto de Atacama Airport (CPO), which has a direct connection from Santiago. From there, you must travel 110 km (1 hour 30 minutes) along Route 5 North to reach Chañaral, the gateway to the park. You can take a bus, rent a vehicle, or hire a tour.
How to get there by land
From Bahía Inglesa, you must travel 100 km along Route 5 to reach Chañaral. In that town, you must take a 28 km (30 minutes) detour that leads to Caleta Pan de Azúcar. It is a gravel road, so you must drive with caution. Remember that access to the park is only allowed in a private vehicle or through a guided tour; there is no public transportation.

Plan your trip in advance, especially in high season, to ensure the availability of flights and accommodations. When visiting this natural sanctuary, it is your responsibility to protect it: do not leave garbage, maintain a safe distance from wildlife so as not to disturb it, and respect the marked trails.
