How to get there by air

Land at Carriel Sur International Airport (CCP) in Concepción. The terminal is about 25 km (35-40 minutes) from the Hualpén Nature Sanctuary, where the beach is located. We recommend renting a vehicle or taking a taxi, as you will need to drive to the park’s parking lot. From there, a 45-minute trail will take you to the beach.

How to get there by land

From Concepción, drive 30 minutes (20 km) along Route 150 towards the Hualpén Peninsula. You can also take local public transport (buses) that will take you closer to the entrance of the sanctuary. You will need to get to the designated parking lot, from where the 45-minute walk (one way) begins along a path to get down to the beach.

Must-Know Tips

Summer brings the best weather to visit Ramuntcho Beach, although the high influx makes it necessary to book accommodation in advance. You will have to walk along forest trails to get there, so it is key to wear comfortable shoes and you must not leave trash during your visit.
