Volcán Isluga National Park

Volcán Isluga National Park is a treasure of the Chilean highlands. Located more than 4,000 meters above sea level, its main attractions include the volcano that gives it its name.

How to get there by air
Land at Diego Aracena International Airport (IIQ), which receives direct flights from Santiago. From there, you must rent a 4×4 vehicle and drive 206 km (4 hours) along Route 15 to Colchane, the gateway to the park.
How to get there by land
From Iquique, you must travel 206 km (4 hours) along Route 15 to Colchane. You can also enter from Arica, crossing Surire via Route A-395 on a 365 km (10-hour) trip. A 4×4 vehicle is essential, as it is a high mountain route with complex sections, and you must acclimatize.

To visit these places, acclimatize and stay well hydrated, as the altitude can cause discomfort. Carry snacks, warm clothing, and a first-aid kit in your backpack.
