How to get there
How to get there by air
The nearest airport is La Florida de La Serena (LSC), with direct flights from Santiago (1 hour). From the terminal, you must rent a vehicle or take a bus or taxi to the Elqui Valley along Route 41, traveling about 33 km (1 hour).
How to get there by land
From Santiago, you must drive along Route 5 North to La Serena (470 km, 6 hours). There you must take Route 41, which reaches the Elqui Valley. If you are in La Serena or Coquimbo, the trip to the Elqui Valley is approximately 33 km (1 hour). You can arrive by intercity bus or rental vehicle.

Elqui Valley has a desert climate, with sunny days and cold nights even in summer. Use glasses, hat and sunscreen during the day, and bring warm clothes for the night.
