Touring Pichilemu
You can reach Pichilemu by private vehicle or bus. If Santiago is your starting point, it will take approximately 3 hours following Route 5 South and then Route 90. Once in town, check in to your accommodation and head towards the town center or the coast, where there is a wide variety of restaurants with fresh seafood.
Dedicate the afternoon to discovering the city’s heritage. Start at the Pichilemu Museum to understand its history and then head to the historic Ross Park, an ideal place for a quiet walk with its centuries-old palm trees and ocean views. Feel the pulse of the town and its unique charm.
End the day exploring the center, where you will find various craft shops and cozy cafes. It is the perfect place to find a souvenir of your trip. Finally, end the day with an exquisite dinner at one of the local restaurants before going to rest for a day full of action.

On this day you will discover why you are in the world’s surf capital. After breakfast, travel 6 kilometers to reach the Punta de Lobos area, where you can take a surf lesson. Whether you are a beginner or an expert, the local schools will provide you with all the necessary equipment for you to enjoy an unforgettable experience.
At noon, relax on the beach and admire the imposing landscape of Los Morros, two rock formations that are the emblem of Punta de Lobos. There you can also enjoy a lunch with a view of the sea.
In the afternoon, take a walk along the trails that border the cliffs for spectacular views. The day culminates with the magical sunset over the ocean, a perfect visual spectacle for photography.

How to get there by air
The nearest airport is Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago (SCL). From there you must travel by land to reach Pichilemu, either by private vehicle or by bus.
How to get there by land
From Santiago, the car trip lasts a little more than 3 hours and covers about 220 kilometers, taking Route 5 South and then Route 90. Renting a vehicle is the most comfortable option, although you can also take a bus. To get around between Pichilemu and Punta de Lobos, you can use local buses or taxis.
Climate and clothing
Pichilemu has a coastal climate, often windy. It is recommended to dress in layers, including a windbreaker or jacket. Comfortable shoes are essential for hiking. Don’t forget sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
Must-Know Tips
Book your accommodation and surf lessons in advance, especially in high season (summer). The waves in Punta de Lobos can be demanding, so you must follow the instructions of the instructors.
