Start the day with an energizing breakfast at a café near the main entrance to Cerro San Cristóbal.
With your batteries recharged, your first stop will be to ascend the hill via the historic Funicular de Santiago, which will take you directly to the Cumbre station. From there, you will get spectacular views of the city, an ideal panorama for taking pictures. Once at the top, look for one of the designated areas to enjoy a quiet family picnic and recharge your batteries.
Just a few steps from the summit is the entrance to the famous Piscina Tupahue, which offers an incredible atmosphere to escape the summer heat. Finally, descend from the hill and cross the Mapocho River to reach the Sculpture Park. There you can end the day with a relaxing walk in its green areas, while admiring the great outdoor works of art.

What you should know
How to get there by air
To get to Santiago, you must land at Arturo Merino Benítez Airport (SCL). From there, take a taxi, transfer or a bus to connect to the Metro network, which reaches the main points of the Chilean capital. To get to Cerro San Cristóbal, you can get off at Baquedano or Pedro de Valdivia, both on Line 1.
How to get there by land
The main access to Cerro San Cristóbal is on Pío Nono Street, near the Baquedano Metro station (Lines 1 and 5 of the Metro). Another option is to get off at Pedro de Valdivia (Line 1) and enter through another sector. You can also arrive on the Red system buses. To move within the park between the different points of interest, the Funicular is your best option. From Pio Nono, the walk to the Sculpture Park takes about 40 minutes.
Climate and clothing
In summer, Santiago is hot and dry. It is essential to wear light clothing, a bathing suit, a hat, and sunglasses. Do not forget high-factor sunscreen and comfortable shoes for walking throughout the day.
